We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a senior mental health clinician to join the Te Toka Tumai Community Acutre Service as our permanant Urgent Response Service (URS) Clinical Coordinator.
The Urgent Repsonse Service is often the first point of contact our Whaiora have with Mental Health services. It is a 24/7 service offering assessment to people who require this urgently within a 72 hour period.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
**Other responsibilities include**:
- Ensuring safe clinical practice in line with quality service delivery.
- Support staff in clincal work, provide advice and guidance
- Liaise with key stakeholders in and ongoing way (Eg: Police, other mental health services, inpatient teams, emergency departments)
- Triage and assess whaiora as required
- Particpate as a Duly Authorised Officer (DAO)
- They will have a current APC and current DAO warrant.
- Experience working in acute mental health services is essential.
- This role is 5 days a week 8am-4.30pm
- As this role is community based it is essential you have a full and clean NZ drivers licence.
