Our latest addition, Sudima Kaikōura, is a new 4.5-star hotel on the esplanade of Kaikōura's waterfront, conveniently located at the end of the town centre. The hotel has spectacular 360 views of the seaward Kaikōura mountain range, waterfront and peninsula. The hotel has a high quality fit-out, 120 well-appointed rooms, Hiku restaurant and bar, conference facilities and infinity pool.

**The Role | Te mahi**

We require a Full-Time experienced **Food and Beverage Duty Manager** to join our fantastic team at the beautiful Hiku Bar and Restaurant on the Kaikōura esplanade.

**Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa**
- Lead the food and beverage service team across all food and beverage outlets including restaurant, bar, room service, and conferencing
- Minimum of 30hours guaranteed
- Open and close outlets ensuring effective set up and organization for shifts
- Create a positive team environment
- Ensure all team members deliver a high level of guest service at all times
- Daily banking and cash up
- Organise cover of team members when required
- Support training and development of food and beverage team including onboarding
- Host Responsibility and Duty Manager for food and beverage service

**Requirements**:
**About you | Ko koe tēnei**
- Holding a valid General Manager Certificate
- Availability to work rostered shifts across morning and evening shifts during weekdays, weekends and public holidays
- Experienced in a la carte and buffet restaurant service
- Experienced bartender, ideally with excellent knowledge of local wines, beers and cocktail preparation
- Competent barista
- Previous leadership experience
- Conference Coordination experience preferred
- Attentive and professional
- Availability on weekends, public holidays and late evenings
- Valid Right to Work in NZ
