Shop Assistant

We have an opportunity for the position of Shop Assistant in our Grocery/Vegetable Store based in Auckland. We are looking for someone who is a confident, responsible person with a high attention for detail. This role requires you to be flexible with working hours which includes weekends, late evening shifts including public holidays. This is a full-time vacancy with us which allows you to work for minimum 30 hours to 45 hours from Monday to Sunday from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.
**Key responsibilities and requirements**:
- To be successful you must have at least a relevant diploma/certificate qualification or 3 years relevant industry work experience.
- Responsible for performing key tasks of the job delegated by the Manager.
- Provide outstanding customer service and build trust and loyalty
- Ensure the displays/shelves are appropriately stocked
- Work with a passionate team to reach sales targets
- Processing payments and keeping up to date with daily admin tasks, including general cleanliness and presentation of the store
- Maintaining high store performance
- A natural ability to build rapport with any customer and assist them during their visit
- Excellent interpersonal, and people management skills
- A proactive approach, motivation to achieve and improve continuously
- Clean criminal record and Zero tolerance to drugs at workplace.
- Be physically fit and healthy
- Willing to do late evening shifts
- Is able to do heavy lifting
