We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the functionality and efficiency of all our machinery and equipment. This role involves inspecting equipment, carrying out regular maintenance, diagnosing faults, and performing repairs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine inspection, maintenance and repair of all farm machinery and equipment, including but not limited:

- Tractors,
- Planters,
- Sprayers - handheld, tractor-mounted,
- Harvesting tools - fruit pickers, harvesting bags, mechanised harvesting equipment,
- Soil Testing Kits,
- Hammers & Drills,
- Torches for sterilising tools, etc.,
- Irrigation systems & Misting Tools including pipes, pumps, sprinklers, drip lines, nozzles, filters, pressure regulators, solenoid valves and timer or controllers,
- Pruning Shears - Loppers, Hand pruning saws, electric, pneumatic, etc.,
- Trellising supplies and tools: installing & maintaining posts, wires, ties, and other materials used to build and maintain the trellis system that supports the vines,
- Frost Protection Equipment including wind machines, overhead sprinklers, or heaters used to protect the plants from frost,
- Conveyance Equipment including wheelbarrows or utility vehicles used to move supplies around the farm.
- Diagnose malfunctions, using various diagnostic tools when appropriate.
- Repair or replace damaged or worn parts, using hand tools, power tools, or welding equipment.
- Test repaired machinery and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Clean and lubricate parts.
- Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Keep accurate records of each repair performed on assets.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.

**Good to have**:

- Some experience as a Maintenance Technician is a plus.
- Some understanding of how farming machinery and equipment operate.
- Technical bent of mind and proficiency in using hand and power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic welding skills.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Physically capable of performing tasks that require strength, such as lifting heavy objects.
- Valid drivers licence, or an ability to get one.
