Exploration and Resource Manager

We are looking for an **Exploration and Resource Manager** with a strong technical background in porphyry copper and gold mineralization to lead a team of 30 expat & local people and manage all the exploration, hydrogeology and geotechnical programs in a new huge green field project.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the development and associated exploration programs are in place for the assigned region.
- Ensure the resource reserve models meet all regulatory reporting Company’s guidelines and requirements.
- Design, implement and manage all field programs to support the required exploration geology, hydrogeology and geotechnical programs.
- Ensure that QA/QC programs are effective, in place, and managed effectively.
- Project management and scheduling of field programs including planning, and coordination of logistics, drilling resources, consumables and equipment.
- Accountable to ensure the other subdivision to make sure they effectively model and understand ore parameters which enable facility design and optimization of performance.
- Manage technical execution of construction contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements in collaboration with the Drilling Superintendent.
- Ensure that all necessary permits and licenses have been acquired for all field activities and for all future mine developments.
- Staff your area with the resources planned per the master staffing plan and deploy them accordingly to manage the execution of programs.
- Management of geo-services (geotechnical, hydrology and hydrogeological) contractors and consultants.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, damage or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
- Properly fulfill the Performance Improvement Plan approved by the immediate manager; if you have employees under direct supervision, approve the Performance Improvement Plan for them.
- Effectively manage a team of 30 people (20 office and 10 field based).
**Requirements**:
- Technical University degree (Bachelor, Masters) BSc in Geology or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of experience in porphyry copper and polymetallic mineralization
- Minimum 15 years of operating experience with exploration drilling. Seasoned exploration and production geologist with a strong technical background in porphyry copper and gold mineralization.
- Minimum 10 years of managerial experience.
- Thorough understanding of HSE programs including incident loss and prevention and risk management.
- Cold climate execution experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of Russian approval authorities is desirable.
- Able to remain composed and professional in times of stress.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.

**Work place**: Residential office-based role 5/2 in Moscow, Russia (family relocation package provided)
