We’re looking for a New Zealand Building Manager to join our Format Network Development & Property team here in Aotearoa reporting to our Head of Facilities Management

Joining our Facilities & Maintenance team you’ll take accountability of building maintenance & repair along with strong supplier relationship and negotiation skills.

**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga**

You will be the cross functional lead on delivering new initiatives in Building R&M, safety and sustainability, working with stakeholders across the New Zealand and Australian teams as well as key external specialists.

You will also be responsible for:

- Leading the maintenance team to ensure Countdowns building and equipment assets are safely and cost effectively managed and maintained
- Managing the key relationships with WWNZ’s R&M contractors including contract management and renewal
- Leading the building maintenance team in New Zealand whose role it is to manage all building and equipment R&M and asset lifecycle management
- Leading the management and maintenance of the Proactive Maintenance program for WWNZ.

**About You | Mōu**

To succeed in this role you will need to be comfortable in dealing with senior management at all levels in a large organisation such as Woolworths, coupled with your great presentation skills and Understanding of and sensitivity to an FMCG retail operation and the impact maintenance activities have on that environment.

To be successful in this position, you will:

- Have a minimum 10 years experience in a construction or FM related role
- Have a minimum 5 years experience as a senior manager, interacting with management at all levels.
- Excellent understanding of Facilities Management or construction industry
- Project management skills, including project initiation, documentation and implementation management. Financial analysis skills, especially in cost analysis.
