**Mō te tūnga - About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our Emergency Department (ED) - one of the busiest ED's in Australasia - based in our new Waipapa building. The Social Work Service provides a 7 days a week service, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for social workers who take a holistic approach to patient care, who like variety, can work under pressure.
We provide psychosocial assessment in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate the current needs associated with a person - s admission and to provide appropriate support.
**Ko wai koe | About You**
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Psychosocial assessment, monitoring and support of people within the service in accordance with ANZASW Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and the SWRB Core Competency Standards;
- Attendance and participation in the social work team and staff meetings;
- Participation in service development and quality assurance initiatives/processes.

- A passion for working with adults, children and their families/whanau;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all walks of life;
- Excellent time management skills and manage caseloads appropriately;
- Hospital experience is advantageous, as is experience with Care and Protection, Family Harm, and Trauma.
- ** NZ Social Work Registration and current Annual Practicing Certificate is essential**
