**Mō te tūnga | About the role**
Our Regional Intellectual Disability Supported Accommodation Service (RIDSAS) service is contracted by Manatū Hauora/Ministry of Health to provide forensic rehabilitation services for people with high and complex needs who have committed an offence and had contact with the justice system.
We are seeking a compassionate and self-motivated leader to be responsible for the coordination of assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation planning for individuals with Intellectual disabilities to achieve their outcomes. As a Senior Care Manager, your role is legally defined in the IDCC&R Act 2003.
You'll lead the development of individual care and rehabilitation plans, train staff, and collaborate with external agencies. You will link with the clinical team providing clinical advice and guidance to the Care Manager and Service Managers. This is a complex liaison role, working frequently with external stakeholders.
**Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring**
- Relevant tertiary qualification within a health or disability service discipline e.g. Occupational Therapy / Nursing / Social Work / Psychology.
- Previous relevant experience working positively with people who have an intellectual disability, and/or complex behavioural needs eg. positive behaviour support coaching, applied forensic experience.
- Experience providing assessments and development of individual client plans.
- Experience in delivering outcomes in a high-pressure and changing environment.
- Ability to train and coach support staff.
- Demonstrated understanding and preparation of risk assessment and management plans.
- NZ full driver licence
