We are looking to recruit an exceptional, forward thinking experienced leader with a “can-do” attitude for this newly created position. This is an exceptional opportunity to help shape this new role in Planned Care, working with the Operations Lead and ADoN.

**Key responsibilities of this role may include**:

- Supporting the operational and service planning process for services.
- Using your strong commercial and business skills to support the management of finances of the service group, ensuring the best health outcomes are delivered with the resources available and that front line leaders are educated and involved in financial decision making.
- Helping teams develop innovative approaches to service delivery, identifying and seizing opportunities and actively driving programmes of quality improvement.
- Championing an environment that allows change and innovation to flourish.
- Supporting development of front line clinical leadership, taking an enabling and responsive approach and role-modelling excellent management to teams.
- Alongside the Operations Lead, actively drive culture change and contribute to organisational culture change initiatives to facilitate a culture that supports the implementation of an integrated service model and the realisation of MidCentral's strategy, vision and values.
- Supporting effective partnerships between consumers, clinicians, our partners and other providers.
- Actively identifying and supporting removing barriers and silos that prevent integration and improved outcomes.
- Contributing to and supporting effective clinical governance frameworks and practices.

**About you**

You will have a relevant management qualification or have at least 5 years' experience in managing complex health care teams with sound operational experience developing business cases and capex proposals. You will have experience in leading change processes and quality initiatives, a solid awareness of equity issues across the health and disability sector, an understanding of Tikanga Māori and a commitment to Tiriti o Waitangi.

**You will also be able to demonstrate the following competence**:

- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- A solutions-focused approach, with good problem-solving skills
- The ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement
- The ability to proactively scan the environment to gain insight and use this information to identify opportunities and risk
