Operations Lead - Te Uru Pā Harakeke
Full-Time Equivalent: 1.0 FTE
Te Uru Pā Harakeke has an exciting opportunity to join the team as Operations Lead.
The Operations Lead role is an integral part of the Te Uru Pā Harakeke senior leadership team providing essential operations support to the Child and Adolescent Oral Health Service, the Child Development Service and the Community Child Health team professional and practice support to frontline nursing leaders and staff which supports them to thrive and deliver services in an integrated way. This includes having a "whole of system" approach to ensuring excellence in nursing practice and professional standards
The Associate Director of Nursing Te Uru Pā Harakeke will focus on growing and developing front-line nursing leadership, devolving decision-making, actively supporting leadership capability improvements and enabling clinicians and teams within the service and across the cluster to make good decisions as close to the patient/client as possible.
The role is responsible for leading and contributing to a programme of transformational change and the integration of services across the Te Uru Pā Harakeke, in partnership with the Clinical Programmes Lead and Planning & Integration Lead.
There is a requirement to participate in the MidCentral Hospital senior management on call roster and to act for senior leaderships as required.

You should be a self-motivated, innovative and flexible person with excellent communication and organisation skills.
It is essential that interested candidates are able to work flexibly and creatively in a changing environment, are able to use their initiative and work autonomously as well as working as part of a team, and are willing to undertake a range of tasks and roles as the functions of the post and service develops. Whilst this will be challenging, it is hoped that it will also enable scope for the successful candidate to help shape exiting developments within the service and the role.
Have you got strong leadership skills and experience of supporting teams through periods of change?
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing work allocation and rotas, reviewing performance and progress, and liaising with partners to ensure that key work areas are fully covered as required.
The post holder will be jointly responsible for undertaking effective recruitment and retention processes, developing training and development models that ensure staff have the required skills and competences to deliver the required level of service.
