**Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role**:
Support our Applied Science tutors and students, in this non-teaching technician role, preparing for laboratory sessions, promoting health and safety, and maintaining the laboratory, equipment and stocks.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $57,300.00 and $75,200.00, dependent on skills and experience.

This is a permanent 0.8 FTE position.

The is based in our Applied Science | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Team Manager and will be responsible for:

- You’ll also be looking after equipment in the laboratory including troubleshooting and maintenance
- You’ll be proficient in maintaining lab supplies and inventories, and ordering stock
- Great if you enjoyed the outdoors as you’ll perhaps be supporting environmental science activities
- You’ll also be a champion for health and safety in the laboratory
- You’ll need energy, self-motivation and have excellent organisation and planning skill

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Experience of working in a laboratory in a commercial or education setting
- Experience with monitoring and auditing lab supplies
- A full NZ driving licence
