**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The primary purpose of the role is to perform a range of contract management functions.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be executing contract management strategies for the relevant categories, supporting the drafting of multiple types of Contracts, and the development and management of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), ensuring that contract renewals, and variations are completed in a timely fashion to avoid expiry and managing contract DFA approval and sign-off processes. You will also be responsible for maintaining category contracts management, including contract reporting and manage renewal of expiring and expired contracts, and developing and maintaining appropriate programs for contract management, including prioritisation of contract management initiatives.
In this role, you utilise your networking and relationship management skills to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, legal, finance, suppliers, and logistic providers, clinical engineering, and product management teams to optimize commercial outcomes and mitigate risks to procurement initiatives. You will also collaborate with the Senior/Category/Procurement Managers to develop and maintain an appropriate programme for Supplier Relationship Management for the portfolio of suppliers.

You will either be working within, or have good knowledge of a procurement, analytical, contract management, contract administration environment and you will understand government processes and the Government Rules of Sourcing (experience specifically within Health Sector could be advantageous).
You will be a great communicator who builds long lasting relationships, both internally and externally. You will either be an aspiring or talented negotiator, a strategic planner with a focus on results, and someone who is eager to learn and refine their skills in this role. You will also be a good written communicator and have intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills.

- Negotiation and contract management experience, including knowledge of end-to-end contract lifecycle
- Knowledge of end-to-end procurement practice, including knowledge and appreciation of a category management approach
- Ability to work strategically whilst also maintaining a focus on detail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing and speaking confidently to convey clear and compelling messages
- Confidence with qualitative and quantitative data analysis
- Understanding of the development of commercial documents demonstrating a level of commercial acumen and knowledge of commercial contracts
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
