**The opportunity**

Farrah's is a great New Zealand business and continues to grow with exciting plans for the future. They are always innovating, looking to bring new products to consumers and continue their journey of delivering market-leading products.

The release of new products this month into the pizza category are an example of their desire to grow and expand the business which creates huge opportunity for the Technical team.

This is an additional product development position and is your opportunity to help the business grow its product development capability and influence an already great brand with your ideas.

**The role**

As Product Development Technologist you will join a small but talented technical team who are immersed in the delivery of new and improved existing products from concept to commercial reality.

You will have full project responsibility and play a key role in enabling and leading products to successful market release.

**Some key responsibilities include**
- Concept development
- Formulations
- Technical troubleshooting and production support
- Product renovation, cost reduction and quality improvement
- Working with suppliers re product selection & validation and supplier assurance.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant and current food law and
regulations in relevant markets.

You will work with a wide range of team members across technical, production and marketing and share the success of the whole business.

**Your skills and experience**

Attributes and experience typically required include:

- A passion for eating and developing good food
- a relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant work experience
- Practical and innovative product development experience working within food manufacturing GMP environments
- Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills, high energy levels and a “can-do” attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Entrepreneurial and innovative in your approach
- An energetic self-starter and a team player with a great sense of humour.

**Benefits**:

- Salary range from $80,000 to $100,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience
- Permanent, Full-time role working Monday - Friday 40 hours per week in our Capital city.
