Are you looking for a fun and exciting role to fill your weekends? An opportunity to learn new skills and develop your current skillset? Then we want you.

We are currently looking for experienced doormen to man the doors of various nightclubs and bars under our protection in Queenstown town center. You will get to meet a lot of new people in this role as the hospitality community in Queenstown is very close knit and we like to look after our own.

This role involves:

- Checking ID's to ensure patrons are of age before entering licensed premises.
- Assessing patrons intoxication levels to ensure no intoxicated persons enter the premises.
- Creating and maintaining a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for patrons inside our premises.
- De-escalating situations and removing intoxicated patrons safely.
- Building valued relationships with the local crowd to ensure everyone has a positive experience in the premises under our protection.

**Required Skills**:

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to de-escalate situations and deal with a variety of people.
- Possess the ability to engage & build relationships with a diverse range of people.
- Maintain a calm demeaner when faced with a stressful situation.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Valid Green COA Security License is desirable; support can be provided to obtain one if eligible
- Must have a Clean Criminal record
- Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

*Applicants should be aware, if they are not currently living in the Queenstown area, finding accommodation is challenging and we do not currently have staff accommodation.

*Applicants must be available Friday and Saturday Nights.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Night shift
- Weekend availability
