**About the role**:
An exciting senior leadership role that doesn't come up often in which you will lead and manage a business unit responsible for the analysis, translation and reporting of intelligence. You will ensure that the activity of the unit is relevant, compliant and that the staff in the unit are supported to deliver intelligence with passion, enthusiasm and excellence.
You will participate in the National Security System, and engage with both domestically and internationally, while providing essential leadership to teams of highly professional and driven staff.
What you'll bring
Experience in public or corporate sector with people leadership skills to join us at the heart of national security, protecting New Zealand and New Zealanders.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior management role
- Possess great people leadership skills and prioritise setting a positive work culture
- Experience and/or a demonstrated understanding of the political, social and economic environment within which the NZIC operates
- Strong, practical understanding of the machinery of government, including executive, parliamentary, legislative and budgetary processes
- Demonstrated strategic leadership and vision to work through complex issues, showing sound judgement and formulating high quality, impartial assessments
- A sound track record of customer service, relationship management and demonstrated focus on delivery of results.
