**We offer a role that allows you to**:

- Take ownership of the performance of Power Station control and instrumentation systems
- Work on assets in a Major Hazard Facility, ensuring their operability, integrity and compliance with regulations and standards.
- troubleshoot equipment and plant performance issues.
- Deliver plant modifications, upgrades and site engineering projects from concept to completion
- Represent internal and external Engineering Standards and Specifications and continue to drive best practices.

You'll work in a dynamic workplace where Mercury actively supports training/development opportunities and opportunities to collaborate with collaboration with other engineers across different Power Station sites within our Generation business.

We are currently recruiting for Site Engineers for our sites based in the Taupo, Rotorua and Kawerau region.

**We are looking for**:

- Experience in the below areas is preferable:

- Broad knowledge and practical field experience of process control systems, instrumentation and field devices
- Experience working in heavy industry, and experience in Hazardous/Explosive Areas and Functional Safety
- Power generation & Process Control experience would be beneficial.
- The specialised knowledge and skills are:

- Technical understanding of PLC, DCS, SCADA, RTU's, control network security.
- Good understanding of higher-level client/server environment and communication standards (TCP/IP, Modbus, Fieldbus)
- Project management.
