As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for service, repair and replacement of industrial automation equipment to increase reliability and productivity safely using ABB lifecycle and preventive maintenance strategies for Process Automation business in Auckland, New Zealand. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will also provide local expert product support and solutions to customers and also build a strong relationship with clients and customers to promote the Life cycle management strategy 'evolution without obsolescence' and addresses current and future needs.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Providing on-site maintenance and technical support for automation equipment (SCADA, DCS, HMI, PLC and Networks) and programming, tuning, installation, replacement and commissioning of industrial automation
- Preventative and corrective maintenance of Pulp and Paper QCS (Quality Control Systems) systems automation utilizing practical mechanical knowledge and skills
- Executing service agreements including reporting and creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their
- needs and providing specialist support and solutions
- Breakdown assistance which includes travel and callout roster and independently identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or onsite activity in different service categories
- Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.
- Coordinating and executing specialist projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews
- Ensuring safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times including the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment, attendance at required health, safety and environment training, report injury, incidents, hazards and near miss events

**Your background**:

- Experience in Automation industry and QCS is preferred
- Literacy skills and proficient with MS Word, Excel.
- Electrical qualification registration or engineering qualification is required
- Interest or training in IT particularly computers and networking
- Ability to act solution oriented and to variate different approaches, be flexible and creative with good command in English
