Here at MDC we are looking for another fantastic person to complement our Assets and Operations Team in the role of Development Engineer.

**The Role**

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, Council policies and procedures, the Resource Management Act, and relevant District Plans
- Undertaking appropriate inspections of resource consent works to ensure they are undertaken in accordance with engineering and resource consent approvals

- A Civil Engineering degree or Diploma (with developmental engineering experience preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991 and the Building Act 2004
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to manage risk
