Maintenance Fitter

THE ROLE:

We are currently recruiting for an Engineer to assist with our sawmill and processing operations.  The key purpose of this role are to:

• Plan and carry out preventative maintenance
• Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance in the Sawmill and Processing work centres

The role has a direct impact on our production levels and quality and therefore plays an important part in the overall success of the mill.

Rotating roster:

• Week 1 - Tuesday to Thursday pm to Midnight, Friday 10.00am to 5.00pm. Total hours = 43 hours
• Week 2 - Tuesday to Thursday pm to Midnight, Friday 10.00am to 5.00pm, Saturday and Sunday 8.00am to 5.00pm. Total hours = 61 hours

Additional Bonuses: Enjoy a weekly production bonus, profit share, tool allowance, and night shift allowance from 6.00pm. Total earnings, including bonus's, a strong candidate has the potential to earn more than $40 per hour.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 3 - 5 years' experience working in a mechanical fitting or mechanical maintenance role
• Production experience or heavy industrial experience is highly preferred
• Excellent hands-on fault finding skills
• An applicable trade certificate qualification and experience in wood industry environment with machinery would be advantageous

You'll need to be physically fit, self-motivated, able to follow procedures, work autonomously and reliable.

You will also have a strong focus on ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times. Sound comprehension skills will also be required.
