The University of Otago is New Zealand's first and oldest University. It has a strong teaching and research tradition and well-established national and international linkages. It is also one of New Zealand's largest universities, with over 20,000 students, assets in excess of $1.6 billion and 4,000 full time equivalent staff based in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and Invercargill.
The Marketing Services team plays a key role in attracting students to the University of Otago, and helping raise the profile of the University throughout New Zealand and our target international markets.
**_The Role/ Te mahi_**
Marketing Coordinators work alongside Marketing Specialists, and Marketing Advisers based in client portfolios. This role coordinates and supports the production and delivery of the University’s marketing, promotional and advertising activities.
You will be encouraged to contribute your ideas, and be involved in activities like campaign planning and scheduling, coordinating the production of marketing materials, implementing campaign activity across marketing channels, and measuring campaign outcomes.

**_Skills and experience/ Kā pūkeka me kā wheako_**
We are looking for a qualified, organised, and customer focussed marketing professional who has a passion for the University of Otago and its vision. You will also need to have:
- 1-4 years experience supporting the delivery of integrated marketing activities, campaigns and advertising. Exceptional graduates will also be considered.
- A good knowledge of all marketing channels including digital and social marketing tools and systems.
- Excellent project management skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver a high quality customer service.
- Positive energy and calm under pressure.
Cultural competency, knowledge of markets, marketing relationships, and networks specific to Māori or Pacific Islands would be an advantage.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) position.
We offer competitive salary, 5 weeks’ annual leave, a 6.75% superannuation scheme, and the ability to achieve real work/life balance.
