We are seeking an experienced sponsorship and brand and experience specialist to join our busy and dynamic team as a Senior Advisor.
You'll have an excellent track record in event management and sponsorship, including leading the development and implementation of strategy in these areas.You'll have experience developing and implementing brand guidelines to help improve and manage how an organisation is perceived in the public domain and by our many stakeholders. You'll dive straight into leading important projects that shine the light on the Ministry for the Environment's identity in public arena, which requires your ability to ensures the performance of the Ministry grows and is positioned well to support staff across the organisation to be advocates for the brand.
This role sits within the Brand & Experience Team and reports to the Manager - Brand and Experience. Each member of the team holds both unique and general brand and experience skills, we work collaboratively and creatively to be the go-to-team to advise the entire Ministry on the below areas:

- Strategic management of sponsorship opportunities
- Event planning and coordination
- Brand development and implementation
- Overview of design outputs for campaigns, events, and sponsorship
- Support with channels planning and implementation
- Publications management.

You'll be part of a team leading an integral and important piece of work to shape and reinforce our identity and build trust and credibility through branding implementation, events, and sponsorships. The role sits within the team, which is tasked with inspiring Kiwis to take action in their daily lives, to help influence the system to create change and encouraging businesses to act.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Tertiary level qualification in marketing and/or communications-related disciplines, with a sound relevant experience
- Experience in strategic sponsorship/partnerships and activations, agency experience would be an advantage
- Experience developing and maintaining a national brand and systems that support brand management
- Sound knowledge of marketing and brand planning and channel implementation
- Ability to analyse complex information from a variety of sources to identify risks and opportunities
- Experience leading projects with a demonstrated understanding of best practices to support internal and external activities and engagement
- Demonstrated experience working with different stakeholder groups and their needs, especially advising and influencing mid to senior level staff
- An understanding of TeAo Māori
- An excellent relationship manager - can build and maintain trusted relationships at all levels of an organisation and externally
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of Government processes and procedures would be an advantage.

Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary Range
Salary range for this role is $101,802 to $124,424 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
