**About the opportunity**

Our Halswell Junction Road site is looking for a motivated individual to join our Distribution team. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are serious about advancing your career and keen to be part of a highly motivated and supportive team. As an essential New Zealand food manufacturing business, never has it been more important for us to deliver to every New Zealander who is counting on us. In this hybrid role, as a Storeperson, you’ll be trained to operate MHE in the cool and dry stores, manual handling and picking orders, comprehensive training will be provided.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Performing quality checks to our product meets our Food Quality standards
- Performing stocktakes, order checks and stock rotation within the coolstores
- Ensuring inbound and outbound documentation is correct and complete.
- Loading / Unloading trucks and containers
- Cleaning of the cool and dry stores and surrounding areas as required
- Operating a forklift and milk stackers
- Manual handling (picking milk crates and food carton orders)

**About you**
Your strong mechanical aptitude and sound problem-solving skills will ensure things run smoothly - as you won’t just identify the problem, you'll be part of finding and implementing the solution. Ideally you will bring food manufacturing experience however we are open to machine operation experience gained in a different industry. Together with a can-do attitude and good work ethic, you’ll be able to demonstrate a background of:

- Picking orders on paperless WMS system
- Strong focus on health and safety
- Computer literacy, SAP experience is desirable
- Working in an environment where you need to be physically fit and able to lift 25kgs
- forklift counterbalance licence is a must
