- Family Works Northern (FWN) provides a range of strength-based practice child and family services across the upper North Island and has established a joint Youth Work service in South Auckland with Anglican Trust for Women and Children. FWN are looking for an experienced Youth or Social Worker to come join us in providing this valuable service.
- This exciting and diverse role will see you deliver the 'Check and Connect Programme'. You will implement strategies that address school engagement, school success, and school completion. You will work alongside students from selected secondary schools in Auckland, empowering them to re-engage with school and improve academic outcomes.
- To be successful in this role you will have:
- Youth Work qualification or Social Work Degree eligible for registration with SWRB
- Extensive experience working with youth
- High level of understanding around development needs of young people
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- Awareness of the cultural needs of the community
- Experience with strength-based practice principles
- The ability to thrive in a busy multidisciplinary team
- A current drivers NZ driver's licence and a reliable means of transportation
