**Te Whiwhinga mahi** | The opportunity**

With the transition of the management of New Zealand's safety camera function to the New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, the role of Technical Training Delivery Lead has been created to deliver and manage the training of our Safety Camera Operations team from induction through to ongoing BAU training. You'll be responsible for the delivery of a consistent and streamlined approach to coaching and the provision of technical support to the team as well as ensuring that changes in systems, policies, processes and procedures are effectively embedded through learner knowledge, and training information and collateral. The role would suit an experienced training professional with well-developed skills and experience in training delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Experience in the delivery of coaching, training and continuous improvement of training within a high-volume processing environment.
- A strong facilitation skillset
- A strong understanding of the principles of adult learning and learning styles
- Experience in leading the strategic direction for functional learning offeringsExceptional customer focus, understanding customer service excellence within a Regulatory environment.
- A strong performance mindset with the ability to implement data driven initiatives using key performance metrics, risk indicators, and customer feedback.
- Good stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure with high level of resilience and autonomy
- Ability to create and propose innovative solutions to challenges as they arise
- The ability to effectively deal with ambiguity, including shifting gears quickly and comfortably and identifying and managing risk effectively.

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.

The purpose of the Customer & Services group is to:

- **Deliver**great transactional products and services through operational excellence and a customer focus.
- **Support**the effective operation of the land transport system by making transactional and backend services simple, easy to use and effective for the user.
- **Continue**to improve the experience of people who interact with NZTA and our services and products by driving efforts to assess and elevate areas where the customer experience can be optimised to make customer interactions consistent, simple, and positive experiences.
- **Develop**a service and back-end delivery capability to support effective and efficient operation of new and emerging functions for NZTA including licensing, ERP incentive schemes, National Ticketing, and Safety Camera Systems and ticketing.
- **Create**our customer and services strategy with others to deliver an integrated customer and user experience informed by understanding our customer requirements to advise the business on how we can strengthen our focus in this area.
