**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**
Embark on an exciting journey in the role of Māori Pasifika Trades Training Youth Engagement Officer. Our mission is to disrupt persistent disparities in South and West Auckland, aiming to build prosperous and resilient communities where tamariki and whānau thrive. As the Māori Pasifika Trades Training (MPTT) Engagement and Community lead, you will hold a pivotal role in supporting our dynamic team.
In this fixed-term contract, you will have the opportunity to build strong, active relationships with ākonga (learners) and the wider community, driving meaningful outcomes for Māori and Pasifika learners in trades education.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ākonga, community members, and stakeholders to support learner success.
- Create and share engaging and meaningful digital content to connect with ākonga and stakeholders.
- Coordinate events and initiatives that support learner achievements and promote community involvement.
- Track and report on engagement outcomes to ensure meaningful impact for Māori and Pasifika learners.
**He kōrero mōu: About you**
We seek an individual with strong cultural competency, can build and maintain relationships and graphic design or digital media skills. This position will suit an individual with the ability to build relationships, coordinate events, together with a passion for collaborative problem-solving. Your ability to work with young people in South and West Auckland, understanding Māori and Pasifika cultures and working in Te Ao Māori or Pasifika spaces is highly regarded.
