You can This role will involve working closely with specialists, Auckland Council, Eke Panuku, Kāinga Ora, Central Government, developers and other key stakeholders.

It is an exciting area of planning, full of opportunities for people keen on tackling some key challenges, trying new things, and influencing and shaping the key frameworks that set the outcomes we are all working towards achieving for the benefit of future Aucklanders.

**The role**

As a Team Leader you will lead and undertakes AT's analysis of complex development proposals, representing AT in master planning, statutory planning and developer engagement forums, and supports Auckland Council in regulatory consenting processes.

**Other key tasks will include**
- Identifying and leading improvement, measurement of performance metrics, and managing cost recovery processes that form a significant component of AT's funding requirements.
- Analysing development proposals and engaging with other technical specialists to ensure a robust assessment based on legislative frameworks, planning frameworks, and engineering and design standards

**Key skills we are looking for**
- Experience in managing or supervising a team in a hybrid working environment.
- Desirable would be an understanding of local government including drivers and statutory requirements
- Senior experience in a relevant role in land development, urban planning and/or transport engineering with sound understanding of relevant planning legislation
- A degree in Planning, Engineering, Transport Planning or similar discipline.
