The Enterprise Data Protection team is accountable to prevent data leakage of private or confidential information (including Highly Confidential) to external parties. We are responsible for the management and operational support of information loss protection practices. The policies and technologies that provides monitoring, reporting and blocking capability for BNZ. This role can be based in Wellington. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with the People Leader (who you would report to) and they told us the following about the role: Our protection services covers (But are not limited to) the following Services / Systems: - Web (Internal and External) - Endpoints (USBs and laptops) - Cloud access (CASB), APIs and Cloud Services. What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? - Lead the prioritisation and ongoing grooming of the product/platform backlog, ensuring alignment with customer needs, business goals, and technical strategy through data-driven decision-making. - Drive cross-functional delivery outcomes by working closely with engineering teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders—balancing short-term delivery goals with long-term platform health and scalability. - Own and improve platform services, with a strong focus on configuration management, service reliability, and operational excellence, using productivity and performance metrics to guide continuous improvement. - Act as a thought leader in the platform/product space—translating complex requirements into clear outcomes, championing best practices in service ownership, and fostering a culture of customer centricity and delivery mindset. - Provide people leadership by mentoring, coaching, and growing team members; actively creating an environment where people feel empowered to innovate, collaborate, and develop in their careers.
