**The Team**
The Nuclear Medicine service at Christchurch Hospital is a diverse team including Nuclear Medicine physicians, dual trained Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine specialists, Nuclear Medicine technologists, Medical physicists and administrative staff. We are proud of the care we deliver to the people of Waitaha Canterbury. Along with our training programme partners in Auckland, we are committed to providing the best possible diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine services to our communities.
**Mō te tūnga | About the role**
The Nuclear Medicine services based at Christchurch Hospital, Auckland City Hospital and Mercy Radiology Epsom, Greenlane and Milford, have partnered together to provide a 24-month Advanced Training Programme in Nuclear Medicine. Training is aimed at developing specialist skills and experience throughout the spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine including PET/CT and Theranostics. The programme is accredited by the RACP and RANZCR Committee for Joint Training in Nuclear Medicine.
The first year of training will be based at Christchurch Hospital, with the second-year split between the Auckland training sites. Successful applicants will be required to participate in Nuclear Medicine services across all training sites. The variety of training and opportunities you will have across the training sites will provide you with the best possible steppingstone for a future career in the rapidly expanding and evolving field of Nuclear Medicine.
This Advanced Training Programme position is a two-year fixed term position with the first year of training based at Christchurch Hospital.

- We are looking for applicants either with either;_
- _Completion of Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) Basic Physician Training, including the RACP written and clinical examinations _
- OR_
- _Successful completion of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) Part 2 Examination_
