**Mo te tunga | About the role**
Station Support Officers (SSOs) are the very heart and soul of a Police Station. They are the face of the station, and they ensure that the Watchhouse is running smoothly. PST staff rely heavily on this role to assist with day-to-day functions especially around front counter complaints, found property, exhibit management and general office administration as required.
This role will be predominantly based at Lower Hutt Police Station, but there will be times you will be required to work at Upper Hutt Police Station on an ad-hoc basis.
In the past this role has been required to work some late shifts and weekends however we are in the process of transitioning to a Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm roster.
