This team will be responsible for providing advice to leaders on how to create great workplaces while tackling the big and small issues with compassion and courage so that kaimahi know what is expected of them, and ensuring the Ministry continues to provide a place where the right people want to work and meets its employment obligations.
Responsible for all aspects of People Services across the Ministry driving true HR business partnering assessing and anticipating HR related needs and acting as a change agent. This role is also jointly responsible for the development and delivery of our People Strategy to support the Ministry's strategic plan and continued growth in line with our vision and values.
The People Services team will also take on the role of recruitment through People Services Business Partners, and supported by Talent Advisors will be responsible for recruitment. People Services Business Partners will now centralise advice and are key engagement points for People Leaders when discussing needs of their teams.
Ngā Whakaritenga Mōkito | Skills and Experience
- In depth understanding of the legislative and industrial frameworks that applies to human resources management issues in both the public and private sectors
- Proven experience leading a recruitment team
- Preferably a postgraduate qualification (or progress towards) in human resources management or relevant discipline
- Along with substantial experience in the employee life cycle

**Salary range**: $164,276 to $199,444 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
