**Founder / Entrepreneur in Residence, Nature Positive Venture**

Beca’s New Ventures Accelerator (NVA) team are seeking an experienced and passionate entrepreneur to lead our next sustainability venture as its founder. This is a high impact opportunity to tackle an important problem, build a viable solution, and create a new scalable business.

Beca is one of Asia Pacific’s largest independent advisory, design and engineering consultancies. We have more than 3,700 employees in 23 offices around the world and have delivered projects in more than 70 countries. We create, design and optimise assets and infrastructure to make everyday better for our clients and communities.

The NVA team come from the start-up space with experience in building businesses. We know and understand the founder journey. And we are here to support you every step of the way.

Our new Nature Positive venture is positioned to become a leading-edge service within a critical and fast-evolving field. Its mission is to help organisations assess their nature-related risks and dependencies, achieve nature-positive targets, enhancing the resilience of our planet and our societies.

**What You Will Be Doing**

Comfortable playing in the early ambiguous front-end of innovation, you will operate in a ‘test and learn’ environment to drive progress using sound start-up tools and processes such as problem discovery, ideation, concept development, validation, and pitching. You will bring your commercial lens to shape and test value-propositions, define the right business model, and create integration with the wider Beca business.

You will be sourcing and leveraging technology and data to turn market-leading consulting services into global scalable digital products.

You will ensure the fund’s investment delivers on its strategic objective of helping clients address and act on their pressing global sustainability challenges.

**What You Will Bring**
- Hands-on doer with start-up or founder experience from a venture-backed company, VC or corporate venturing environment, preferably within an emerging market
- Strategic thinking and commercial nous
- Naturally curious with a growth mindset
- Able to tackle ambiguity and decide the best path forward, in a fluid environment
- Vision, passion, and ability to lead and inspire others along the rocky start-up journey
- Strong experience in enterprise consulting
- Talent at using empathy to understand customer problems and needs
- Ideally possess specialist environmental knowledge; an environmental science or environmental engineering background would be advantageous
