We are seeking a talented Asbestos Assessor to join our Environmental Services team. You will be working alongside other qualified and locally experienced Asbestos Assessors. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Asbestos Management Surveys.
- Asbestos Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys (ARDS) and reports.
- Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) reports.
- Detailed scopes of works for asbestos abatement.
- Reviewing contractors’ method statements and asbestos removal control plans.
- Client representation for monitoring of asbestos removal works.
- Asbestos Air Monitoring
- Asbestos clearance certification (Class A and B work).
**What you will bring to the team**
You will be experienced to at least intermediate level, have an in-depth understanding of asbestos management and removal and be intimately familiar with the Asbestos Regulations 2016. Ideally you will hold a degree in Occupational Hygiene Science, Building Surveying (BSc) or similar or alternatively you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record through experience and industry standing. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, an enthusiastic attitude towards your professional development and future career path. You would also hold one or more of the following BOHS qualifications (or equivalent ‘IP’): P401, P402, P403, P404, P405 and P408 (other equivalent international qualifications will also be recognised) and will hold a Worksafe NZ Asbestos Assessor License.
