**The Opportunity**
Te Whatu Ora - MidCentral region is looking to employ a full-time Clinical Coder. The position requires a person experienced in ICD-10-AM, ACHI and ACS. We are looking for someone with the knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology required of a competent coder, and with a recognised clinical coding qualification or current study. As a clinical coder you will be tasked with the abstraction, interpretation and translation of narrative descriptions of diseases and procedures into alphanumeric codes, for all inpatient discharges.

Te Whatu Ora - MidCentral follows the National Clinical Coder Framework that provides the structure for remuneration, competency, and progression and applies to all full or part-time permanent staff employed as Clinical Coders.
