Downer holds a long-term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice. We are currently seeking a Site Facilities Manager to join our team at the Auckland Region Women's Corrections Facility (ARWCF).

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, our Site Managers are a critical role within our business. As the Site Manager for ARWCF, you will be responsible for providing operational and technical leadership to the team on site. You will ensure jobs are delivered safely, cost effectively, with quality and within KPI over a 24/7 period.

You will also see yourself:

- Ensuring self-delivery productivity and utilisation is maximised
- Guide and direct the responsible use of subcontractors at the site
- Ensuring strong financial and KPI performance of the site
- Developing strong, collaborative Customer relationships
- Ensuring the timely management of site compliance, including BWOF and HSNO requirements

Having worked in the Facilities Management industry for 3+ years, you have proven fiscal skills and an ability to both manage costs and drive improved productivity. Your excellent communication and relationship management skills allow you to lead from the front and set the example for your teams to follow. You will be exceptionally organised and have the ability to work at pace in a high-volume environment.

You will also bring with you:

- Management qualification and/or demonstrated management skills and experience
- Experience in driving operational activities to ensure quality is achieved, work is completed to schedule and rework is minimised
- Working knowledge of building systems (e.g. HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing etc.) along with a good understanding of building compliance requirements (BWOF)
- Ownership, commitment and an ability to meet deadlines.
- Intermediate level of computer literacy including MS Outlook, Word and Excel
- Prisons are sometimes challenging work environments, so you must be confident and able to conduct yourself professionally at all times. You will also understand the 24/7 nature of a prison site and be prepared to sometimes manage jobs and situations after hours._
