Our Alten Road Early Childhood Centre is excited to welcome a new **Assistant Centre Manager (known internally as an Assistant Centre Leader) **to the whanau. Alten Road is a homely, yet spacious heritage style centre nestled in the heart of the University of Auckland’s city campus.

Alten Road provides a nurturing environment to our tamariki from 3 months old to school age for the University of Auckland community. As a centre, we are committed to using Te Whāriki and our practice is strongly influenced respectful care and relationships. The Assistant Centre Manager will lead and champion this philosophy. This is a **full-time **(40 hours per week) **permanent** position.
Centre opening hours: 7.30am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday.

**He kōrero mōu | About you**

To flourish in this role, you will have:

- ** A **Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Teaching Level 7 (ECE)** with **current Full Teacher Certification**.
- A Strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy, and curriculum, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education.
- Thorough knowledge of current ECE Regulations and a steadfast commitment to compliance.
- A positive attitude, sense of humour, and mature leadership style grounded in empathy and understanding.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
