We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Supervisor to join our team at Opal, located in Auckland. Responsible for the Design team within our Auckland manufacturing plant to oversee and implement Structural Design projects and tasks and develop effective packaging solutions in an efficient manner. You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing processes in collaboration with the site team to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Interpreting Design briefs as provided by the Sales Team
- Focus on providing excellent packaging solutions for Customers.
- Develop training & oversee workload for Structural Designers.
- Allocate and complete Custom Design tasks as allocated by iSpek or as directed by Manager.
- Ensure design capability/Routing through plant to assure smooth production.
- Keep up to date with latest market trends and innovations within Opal.

- 5 years of experience in a Design position within a manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience, preferably support by relevant trade or Diploma qualification
- Communication & influencing skills
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing requirements
- Experience and skills in personnel management
- Ability and desire to expand knowledge
- Project management and team building experience
