He Kōrero Mō Te Tūranga | The Role
We're looking for a Corrections Clinical Lead - AOD to guide clinical practice across Wiri Women's Prison and Auckland Prison (Paremoremo).
This is a full-time, Monday-Friday role where you'll lead a passionate team and embed trauma-informed, culturally responsive care in a high-impact environment working for Emerge Aotearoa and in partnership with Mahitahi.
What you'll do:
- Lead and support AOD Practitioners, Peer Support, and Wairua/Rongoā Practitioners
- Provide clinical supervision and coaching
- Champion Te Ao Māori and Wairua practices in AOD treatment
- Deliver assessments, brief interventions, and group programmes
- Collaborate with Corrections, Mahitahi Trust, and partners
- Drive quality improvement and influence service design
He Kōrero Mōu | About You
You're a confident, compassionate clinical leader with a strong understanding of addiction treatment and the corrections environment. You bring a commitment to equity, restorative practice, and cultural responsiveness.
You will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in health (e.g. social work, nursing, psychology)
- Registration under the HPCA Act or with DAPAANZ, with a current APC
- At least 3 years' experience in AOD services, including group facilitation
- Proven leadership experience in clinical settings
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and mental health legislation
- Cultural competence and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- A full NZ driver's licence
