Pay rate: $29.66 - $29.80

J & P Pelia Cleaning Services Limited are seeking a Gardening Assistant to work in Auckland. This is a full-time permanent employment (minimum 32 guaranteed hours rostered between Monday to Sunday, between 6 am 6 pm). As a Gardening Assistant, you will work alongside experienced gardeners and assist in various gardening tasks. We are looking for someone to keep our clients gardens healthy and beautiful, as well as being able to interact with our clients from time to time so having a professional and friendly rapport with them is a must.
- Assisting in planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining plants and flowers.
- Weeding garden beds and removing unwanted plants.
- Maintain garden tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and properly stored.
- Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in garden areas, including sweeping pathways and removing debris.
- Assisting in the maintenance of garden structures, such as fences, trellises, and plant supports.
- Providing excellent customer service and answering questions from visitors or clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Carry out any other duties as requested by the Gardener or Managing Director.

**Qualifications & experience**
- Previous experience in gardening or landscaping is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and stand or kneel for extended periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures.

The pay range for this position is between $29.70per hour to $30per hour.
