Junior Gardener

We have a rare opening available in our team to join our full time gardener and assist him with keeping on top of our many maintenance contracts.

We are looking for a driven, passionate about all things that grow, and hardworking garden extraordinaire to join us.

About us:
We are a family owned and operated landscaping company. We have been providing professional landscaping and garden maintenance services throughout Christchurch for over 15 years.

**The key functions of the role are**:

- Maintaining and caring for established and new lawns and gardens at various sites throughout Christchurch
- Minor tree and hedge trimming
- Seasonal pruning, trimming and deadheading as required
- Keeping lawns and edges mowed and tidy, fertilised and weed free
- Weeding gardens and keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter
- Occasionally help the other members of the team with any other landscaping jobs required
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Ensuring clients expectations are exceeded
- This is a hands-on role and you must be willing to get your hands dirty to get the job done.
- Successful applicants will:

- Have some gardening experience and know how to prune, trim and do basic garden maintenance.
- Operate small power equipment confidently e.g. lawn mower, hedge trimmer, weed whacker etc.
- Have at least a class 1 full licence
- Be able to navigate basic app software for job and time management
- Good time management
- Great communication skills
- Enjoy a great work environment with a tight-knit team
