An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and innovative senior registered nurse for the role of Charge Nurse Urology Ward 73 within the Surgical Directorate.

The Urology Service at Auckland DHB sees a diverse patient population who are admitted from within ADHB, other DHBs across New Zealand and across the Pacific. Ideally you will be an experienced senior registered nurse with leadership. This is a key senior nursing role and you will be working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, clinicians and the multidisciplinary team.

As the Charge Nurse you will be be joining a dedicated team who are proud to be caring for our patients throughout their journey. You will be;
- responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical nursing care to patients and their family/whanau
- able to demonstrate your clinical and professional leadership
- lead and support the nursing team in all aspects of nursing care management
- able to use your excellent communication skills on a daily basis
- the driver of quality improvement initiatives
- focused on patient and staff safety

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skill**
- Advanced clinical practice knowledge - at least 3 years at a senior nursing level with demonstrated leadership experience at this level
- Commitment to providing excellent care
- Strong accountability for resource and budget management
- A commitment to bi-culturalism in relation to the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Ability to provide coaching and address performance issues

Ideally, you will have completed or working towards a post-graduate qualification and have experience working in a fast-paced setting.
