**What you’ll do**
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the Service Assurance team’s work in using information gathered through evaluation activities to understand organisational performance and make improvements on behalf of employers and learners. This role supports evaluation activities at Careerforce including surveys to inform NZQA reviews, graduate and apprenticeship evaluations, employer surveys, and ad hoc survey requests.
**Activity: Data Collection and Analysis**
**Performance Measures**:
Data Cleansing - the process of finding and removing errors, inconsistencies, duplications, and missing entries from data to increase data consistency and quality. Coding verbatim comments from surveys to provide thematic analysis. Preparing data charts for analysis.
- Administrative support is provided to the Evaluation Analyst accurately and within agreed timeframes
- Outputs are produced to a high standard
- Methods and analytical approaches deliver outputs that meet stakeholder needs.

Contribute to the review and improvement of evaluation outputs with design, collection, collation and analysis of evidence across teams. Engage in own professional development plan. Identify opportunities to enhance and innovate our evaluation approaches. Actively provide quality reviews and respond to reviews. Feedback on evaluation outputs is sought, received and actioned in a timely manner.
**Person specification**
**Education / Qualifications / Training**
Relevant qualification or equivalent experience. Level 3 NCEA and 1-2 years’ experience or currently studying towards a tertiary qualification.
Some knowledge and understanding of evaluation methodologies, analysis and reporting.
Is intuitive
Has good communication skills
Works comfortably in a team or on their own
Has excellent attention to detail
**You will also need to demonstrate the following**:
Relevant qualification or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience using excel and survey monkey and basic data analysis
An understanding of the vocational education and training would be desirable
An understanding of data tools and platforms, including the ability to develop and implement data collection methodology and contribute to analysis of data.
Enthusiastic and ‘can-do’ approach to a wide variety of tasks.
**Ministry of Justice Check**:
A satisfactory Ministry of Justice check is required for all roles within Careerforce and is conducted upon acceptance of an offer of employment. Periodic re-checking may be conducted.
