New World in Hamilton is seeking a motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join the dynamic team. As a Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the store especially in dry goods. Also in the absence of Department Managers and other members of the management team, it is the duty managers role to ensure a consistently fresh and appealing shopping experience for all customers and the smooth running of the store and ensure at all times store appearance, security, service and productivity are maintained. To be successful you must have a passion for providing excellent customer service, be a detail minded self starter, be able to multi-task and have the ability to follow through in a timely manner. This is a working Duty Manager role your main duties will include: - directing and supervising the team - Identifying items requiring replenishment - replenishing shelves and displays - maintaining a safe work environment - our people are important - Team training and development - Building displays - Helping customers - Supporting and assisting our Department Managers - Ensuring all departments are maintaining appropriate store display standards This role ideally suits an applicant who has previous grocery or retail supervisory experience, has excellent communication skills and can "walk the talk" when leading their team. A current Liquor license would be awesome too.. **This can be a full-time position or part time job.** Mon - Sun role are available. Hours to be discussed during the interview.
