Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Children - s Health Service at Wellington Hospital is seeking an administration specialist to provide support to the Operations Manager, and the Clinical Leaders of Paediatrics, as well as the rest of the Children - s Health team. This role requires a person who shows initiative and resilience, and has a wide range of administrative skills that can support a busy team.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
Having recently moved into our brand new purpose built Children - s Hospital. Children - s Health Service (CHS) comprises of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 60 resourced inpatient cots/beds, over two wards; an Ambulatory Service that includes: Children - s Acute Assessment Unit, Day Stay Ward, Children - s Clinic (Outpatient Department); Community Nursing Team, acute assessment and outpatient facility at Kenepuru, and outpatient clinics in Kapiti. Children - s Health also includes the Child Development Service, who provides a wide range of assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic services for children with both physical and intellectual and a diagnostic service for children with autism. The Regional Genetics Service is also a key part of the service.
Moū - About you
To be successful in this position you will have multi-tasking and prioritisation skills and the ability to coordinate work schedules and deadlines and work under pressure. You will need exceptional organisational skills, a high level of initiative, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and manage matters in a confidential manner. Also desirable is flexibility and the ability to develop strong relationships to ensure cooperation and support
Ideally you will have at least 2 years administration/PA experience, with Intermediate to advanced word and excel skills and experience with meeting coordination and minute taking and in Human Resources administration
