At the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), the work we do makes New Zealand a better place for those born here, and those new New Zealanders who have chosen to call this country home.

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Test Analyst experienced in Identity Services to join the department in a fixed-term capacity. The Department will be the lead integrator for a project that will replace a key identity management service. The project involves multiple vendors and solution components, and it is essential that all members of the testing team have experience working in a complex and challenging environment.

**The successful applicant will have**:

- Proven experience over several years in test planning, analysis and execution
- Experience using tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps and Azure Test Plans for test case management
- The ability to work effectively in a team of test professionals, and with a wider project team that includes multiple vendors.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Planning, preparing, and executing manual tests
- Collaborating with the wider test team to help build and execute an automated test suite
- Regularly monitoring and reporting progress
- Reviewing both vendor and internal DIA test deliverables
- Participating in the defect management process.
- Collaborating closely with both vendor and internal DIA project team members.

This is a fixed-term engagement to the end of March 2026. Please note that due to the nature of the project, applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship.
