As a Senior Test Analyst within our Capital Markets group, you will work in our Wellington based team who will support the overall mahi being driven by our Centre of Excellence based in Brisbane. You will be responsible for the business and functional design testing, analysis of FNZ’s Capital Markets platform capabilities, business processes and end to end testing (including supporting client UAT as required).
- You will work both independently and within a client aligned development team within existing IT systems and business models, analyses requirements (both business and technical) and to translate these into test artefacts and knowledge base documentation. These activities will likely all include the management of stakeholders (internal and/or external) to ensure test solutions against client requirements. The test analyst is also required to work closely with IT developers and Product Analysts to provide oversight and clarity on testing of the development solution.
- As Senior Test Analyst will need a broad knowledge of FNZ platform capabilities and a deep understanding of assigned functional areas of the FNZ CM platform. They will work with development and product teams to provide input into the testing of requirements.
- You will lead in all aspects of testing from the more technical testing approaches including test automation, database manipulation and xml injection testing to functional specification testing and supporting UAT.

- As a Senior Test Analyst, your responsibilities will include Test Analysis:
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of platform functionality and business processes in assigned functional area.-
- Educate and collaborate with internal and external customers to test solutions meeting requirements.-
- Work with Solution Consultants to design solutions within defined change scopes.-
- Ensure accurate documentation of test artifacts and compliance with regulatory environments.-
- Test Design & Preparation:- Define acceptance criteria using BDD syntax for automation tests.-
- Review and analyze business requirements for quantifiable and testable criteria.-
- Produce artifacts for testing activities.Test Execution:
- Lead and perform structured and context-driven system, integration, and regression testing.-
- Ensure changes meet acceptable standards through reviews and end-to-end testing.-
- Conduct walkthroughs of delivered solutions with clients.-
- Author reusable tests and conduct end-to-end testing.-
- Utilize internal systems for defect tracking and test case management.Collaboration / Communication:
- Provide updates to SCRUM team and Delivery Manager on progress, risks, and issues.-
- Offer timely estimates to the Delivery Manager.-
- Communicate status updates as needed.-
- Collaborate internally and externally with the Test Team and clients.-
- Ensure effective communication of testing issues/solutions and promote process improvements.-
- Collaborate with other test analysts, sharing knowledge and best practices.Technology:
- Stay updated on relevant technologies, tools, and methods.-
- Identify and adopt processes, technology, and tools best suited to FNZ CM.-
- Proactively resolve technical issues affecting test progress.-
- Strong experience in an analysis or testing environment.-
- Experience with one or more of BDD/Cucumber, XRay, Test Driven Development-
- An understanding of the regulatory environment FNZ operate within.-
- Experience in technology delivery in the capital markets/financial services/wealth market would be advantageous.-
- Previous experience working within an analysis or testing role, with exposure to one or more of BDD/Cucumber, XRay, Test Driven Development-
- Confident, and able to take initiative given client
- and delivery-focused environment.-
- Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style.-
- Intermediate computer skills essential (SQL experience desirable)-
- Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills.-
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior staff.-
- Stakeholder management experience - confident in dealing with internal and external clients.-
