**About the Role**

**Skills You Will Need**

As a pivotal member of our construction team, you will lead tendering, budget estimates, and client presentations. Offering strategic advice, you'll assess project profitability and maintain a watching brief over all projects across the region. Your meticulous approach guarantees accurate and timely production of pricing information, showcasing your competence and dedication. In both pre and post-contract phases, you are essential in managing commercial aspects across regional projects, deploying best practices for their professional delivery. Your emphasis on commercial outcomes and effective negotiations ensures optimal value for all parties involved.

**Capabilities and Experience**
- Main contracting experience is a requirement
- Client-side Professional Quantity Surveying experience is desirable
- Minimum 10 years New Zealand commercial construction experience
- New Zealand vertical build construction experience is a must
- Undergraduate University degree, such as a Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent NZ contract law knowledge
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Business development skills and tender submission experience
- Ability to work effectively within a team and to deadlines
- A natural ability to establish and build long-term working relationships with all stakeholders
- Mentor staff
- CostX or similar experience
