Auckland Council is seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner - Networks to join our Technology Services team. This is a unique opportunity to lead the strategic development and delivery of innovative, resilient network infrastructure solutions. You’ll play a pivotal role in our transition to a product-based delivery model, working closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality network services that meet both business and customer needs.

Are you ready to drive change and innovation in network infrastructure? As a Technical Product Owner, you will lead the prioritization of the network roadmap, ensuring the delivery of impactful services and solutions. You will collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to design resilient, customer-focused network services, manage the business impact of incidents, and ensure seamless communication throughout. Your goal will be to build network solutions that are scalable, secure, and future-proof. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset who can integrate emerging technologies and play a key role in the evolution of network services.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Roadmap & Prioritization: Define and prioritize the network services product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, security, operations, and business teams to translate requirements into actionable, high-quality network solutions.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage vendor relationships, ensuring the delivery of network solutions that meet performance, security, and reliability standards.
- Incident Management: Oversee network incidents, minimize business impact, and keep stakeholders informed with clear, timely updates.
- Future-Proof Design: Ensure network solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full product lifecycle, from development and deployment to ongoing optimization.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years’ experience in the network services domain, with expertise in product management and cross-functional team leadership.
- Strong understanding of Agile practices and product development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive projects, and solve complex problems.
