Automax Cars Limited is recruiting for a full-time Vehicle Purchase Specialist (Japanese Speaking).

**Responsibilities**:
- Japanese Vehicle Procurement: Utilize your expertise and knowledge of the Japanese automotive industry to identify and purchase used vehicles that align with the requirements and preferences of the New Zealand market.
- Auction Participation: Engage actively in the Japanese auto auction system, participating in auctions to secure the best deals on desirable vehicles while adhering to budgetary constraints and quality standards.
- Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market demands, and pricing dynamics to make informed purchasing decisions and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of vehicles to ensure they meet our company's standards for quality, performance, and reliability.
- Negotiation: Negotiate effectively with sellers, auction houses, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms and pricing for vehicle purchases.
- Documentation and Compliance: Handle all necessary documentation and paperwork related to vehicle purchases, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including sales, logistics, and administrative staff, to streamline processes and ensure smooth operations from procurement to delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency enhancement within the procurement workflow, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.
**Requirements**:
- Fluency in Japanese (spoken) is essential for effective communication with Japanese auction houses and suppliers.
- Proven experience in the used vehicle industry, with a strong understanding of Japanese automotive market dynamics and trends.
- Familiarity with the Japanese auto auction system and experience in purchasing vehicles through this platform.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Strong analytical abilities, with the capacity to assess vehicle conditions and market value accurately.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of working independently and meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Minimum of 12 months years of experience in the relevant field and/or a level 2/3 qualification.
Hours of work (minimum) 32 hours and a maximum of 45 hours.
