Principal Planner

We are seeking motivated Planners with a minimum of ten years experience in consenting to join our growing Planning Team in Auckland. Our planning team's work spans nation-wide projects and ranges from one-off, stand-alone resource management projects through to working as part of multi-disciplinary teams on large, complex infrastructure, environmental and engineering projects.
- As part of the planning team, you will be joining a small and experienced team that works cross-sector across our Water, Transport, Energy, Built Environment and Advisory teams, providing opportunities and support to be involved within a wide variety of projects. The focus of our work involves providing strategic advice and guiding our clients through statutory processes to achieve excellent outcomes.
- We are seeking self-motivated Planners who value building enduring relationships with clients and colleagues. You will possess skills and be passionate about infrastructure and/or environmental planning, with a strong understanding of the NZ planning system and relevant legislation.
- We would like you to have excellent oral and written communication skills. A strong customer driven work ethic will underpin your expertise and will be among a range of skills that will assist you in building a strong profile within Mott MacDonald and among our clients, as you will interact with internal and external clients to form key relationships.- At Mott MacDonald we are always looking for the best people to join us.
