He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Nurse Educator to join our dynamic and enthusiastic renal team. The role is to support the development of nursing FTE within the renal service and the nurse educator will work across both Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospitals.
As a nurse educator you will be responsible for the professional development of the nursing team to build on our nurse's existing knowledge and provide opportunities for advancement of clinical skills in renal nursing. You will work with Clinical Nurse Managers and the renal team to develop a positive work environment that supports and increases the nursing workforce capacity, capability, retention, and resilience within the renal units.
This is a fixed term position, working full-time (1.0 FTE) for 12 months.
He Kōrero mōu - About You
**To be successful in this role you will need**:
- Leadership experience
- Certificate in adult/clinical teaching
- Minimum of five years clinical experience in renal nursing
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- The ability to work collaboratively and innovatively within a growing multidisciplinary team
- Evidence of relevant post graduate education and engagement with the Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) both of which are requirements for this Designated Senior Nurse role
This role is suited to someone who is enthusiastic about service improvement and working in new ways to deliver optimal outcomes for the renal team.
